Automatically sync Companies from Hubspot to Saber, and keep Hubspot up to date with account research results, contacts found and personalised messages generated. This connector:

  • Pulls in Companies from your Hubspot so your team can research them with a single click.

  • Automatically pushes every new Company to Saber, the moment it's created in Hubspot

  • Adds a link to Saber's account research view as a custom field, for easy access

  • Allows your team to add new Contacts that Saber found to Hubspot with a single click

  • Syncs personalised messages generated by Saber, so they can be used in Hubspot Automation and Sequences

The HubSpot connector is only available on the Team and Enterprise plan. You may be required to upgrade to a paid HubSpot account to access all features.

Getting started

  1. You will need to have Admin access within Hubspot

  2. Go to your Saber account, go Settings and click on Connectors

  3. Select Hubspot under Organization Connectors:

  4. Click on the "Connect Hubspot" button

  5. A popup will appear that will ask you which Hubspot instance you want to connect with Saber. Select the appropriate one and click on "Choose account". You will then see the following:

  6. Scroll to bottom and click on "Connect app":

  7. The pop up should then close, and the Saber app will automatically update, showing your Hubspot connector has been connected successfully

After successful connection, we would have set up:

  • Authentication between Saber and Hubspot

  • We've set up webhooks under the hood, allowing new Companies created in Hubspot are also automatically pushed to Saber

We have not pulled in historical data from Hubspot, nor have we set up any custom fields yet. To complete the initial set up, we need to do a first manual sync.

Initial Sync

Once you have successfully connected Saber with Hubspot, you will see a couple of options appear on the Hubspot settings page. To complete the initial setup, let's click on "Sync with Hubspot":

When you click on "Sync with Hubspot", Saber will:

  • Create new custom fields within Hubspot:

    • Saber Account Link: A field on the Company record where we will store the link the account research page on Saber.

    • Saber Personalised Subject & Body: Six fields on the Contact record where we will store the personalised subjects and body messages Saber has generated for each contact. We create three subject fields and three body fields.

  • Pull in the 500 most recent accounts from Hubspot, create Accounts in Saber, and assigns them to the same users they are assigned to in Hubspot (as long as they are also a Saber user)

  • Push the newly created Saber account link to Hubspot

Initial syncing may take a minute or two, and when it's done, you will see the 10 most recent records we've pulled in and show which users in Saber we've assigned those to:

Now you should be all set! You can go back to the Accounts page, and you should see all the newly synced accounts within Saber. Research will not have started automatically, and you will see a button to start the research.

Saber will automatically create Accounts for every new Company created within Hubspot, but if you are ever seeing a gap, you can always re-run the sync and pull in the latest records.

Syncing Companies and Accounts

Companies in Hubspot are synced with Saber in two ways:

  • Through initial sync where we pull in the most recent 500 companies

  • Automatically when a new Company has been created within Hubspot

If you are expecting to see specific Companies or Accounts in Saber, but you aren't seeing them, it could be that those Companies in Hubspot aren't assigned an owner or the owner they are assigned to is not a Saber user. When syncing Companies and Accounts, we match the Hubspot owner and Saber user emails.

Syncing Contacts and Personalised Messaging

Contacts are not automatically synced between Saber and Hubspot and need to be synced manually. When you run an account research on Saber, and you have job titles defined in settings, we will search for Contacts that match your buyer description.

Adding Contacts from Saber to Hubspot

When Hubspot is connected, you will see an "Add to Hubspot" button appear on each Contact in Saber:

When you click that button, Saber will push that Contact to Hubspot and attach it to the appropriate Company record.

Saving personalised messages per Contact in Hubspot

When you go to generate a personalised message for a Contact in Saber, you will be prompted if the Contact hasn't been added to Hubspot yet:

After the Contact has been synced with Hubspot, you will be able to save the messages you have generated by clicking on "Add to Contact":

After you've done so, but the subject line and the message will be saved in the respective Saber field on the Hubspot Contact record. For example, if you've saved the first message, the subject will be saved as Saber Personalised Subject 1 and the body will be saved as Saber Personalised Message 1.

You will know a message on Saber matches what is in Hubspot if you see the saved state as shown here:

You can now use these personalised messages in your Hubspot Automations or Sequences by referring to the Saber fields in your campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're constantly improving our integration with Hubspot, with many more features on the roadmap. Don't see what you're looking for now? Check out the frequently asked questions below, or reach out to us via chat or email.

Can I enroll a Contact into a Hubspot sequence via Saber?

Not yet. We are expanding our integration with Hubspot to also allow users to directly enroll a Contact into a specific Sequence in Hubspot, but today we don't support that. To add a Contact to a sequence, you must do so via de Hubspot app instead.

Why are my companies in Hubspot not showing up in Saber?

There might be a small delay between creating a Company in Hubspot and it showing up in Saber, but this usually does not take longer than 10 minutes. If it does, then it may mean that the owner assigned in Hubspot is not a user in Saber. If you are still seeing issues, reach out to support via chat or email.
